The opportunity

1 FTE, permanent - Central St Martins


You will contribute to the development and delivery of high quality and customer-focused library services which support the academic activities of the University and its constituent Colleges.

The post holder at Central Saint Martins will be responsible for providing professional leadership of the CSM Collections team. This includes co-ordinating acquisitions and collection development, including for Special Collections. You will also represent Central Saint Martins Library at department-wide working groups.

You will support specified courses/programmes of study, participating in course committees. You will establish constructive working relationships with course teams, and promote access to resources, collections and services through effective academic liaison and information dissemination.

You will assist in the provision of enquiry services and develop learning materials which encourage the use of resources and services.

You will line manage a small team and be responsible for providing professional leadership in your functional area. 

Working pattern for these posts is currently Monday – Friday with some working until 18:15pm during vacation and there may be a requirement to work until 20:00pm, during term time, on a rota basis.

 

About you

With a degree in Library and Information Management or equivalent at Graduate or Postgraduate level, you will have demonstrable experience of working in library or customer service environment.
