There are currently two part-time Library and Open Access IT Assistant vacancies. One at Chelsea College of Arts Library and the other at the London College of Communication (LCC) Library. 

Both roles assist in the delivery of high quality customer-focussed library and open access IT services, which support the teaching, learning and research activities of its Colleges by participating in front-line services and administrative duties. 

There may be a requirement to work late shift once a week at Chelsea College of Arts.

Some flexibility is required to support the vacation opening hours at Chelsea College of Arts and London College of Communication. 

Candidates must be willing to commit to this to be considered.

Current work days - 

Chelsea College of Arts - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

London College of Communication - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Library and Student Support Services is a University-wide Directorate delivering high quality services to support all students studying at UAL so that they can fulfil their potential and get the best from their University experience. The Directorate consists of Student Services, Library Services, Academic Support and the International Student Experience (including Language Development).

1 x 0.60 FTE - Chelsea College of Arts 

1 x 0.54 FTE - London College of Communication

You will have relevant experience in a library, open access IT or customer service environment and will be able to work independently, have basic numeracy skills or experience of financial procedures and have experience using Microsoft office 365, Internet and electronic resources.

You are able to ensure that accurate information is passed onto the most appropriate people in a timely fashion and have experience of answering standard queries from customers.  You have experience of working as a member of a team, providing support, assistance and cover where needed.
