The opportunity

As Lecturer in Construction Technology, Making and Live Building Projects you’ll be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the BA Interior and Spatial Design course. This course is part of the Material and Spatial Practices Programme and Design School at CCW. The post-holder will work collaboratively within a course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.

The post-holder will be expected to undertake:

· Shared responsibility for a year group of undergraduate students’ pastoral support, progress and attendance, maintaining records and liaising with colleagues as appropriate.

· Pedagogic and curriculum development that stimulate thought and practice that challenge the canon of the Material and Spatial Practices Programme with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusivity.

· Advance architectural technology and be responsible for Leading Construction Technology, Live Build and Making project development across the course. You should have a high level of experience in sustainable construction technology and technical detailing.

About you

You’ll have experience of teaching at undergraduate level and the ideal candidate will also have previous experience of curriculum management at unit/module level and have been involved in curriculum development. You must be able to work constructively within a delivery team and work respectfully with colleagues to grow a creative, dynamic learning environment that inspires the synthesis of theory and practice.
