We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our growing Technical Services team as the Technical Coordinator of the 3D Workshops at London College of Communications.

Reporting to the Technical Manager for the Design School, the postholder will join the broader technical management group, lead the dynamic 3D Workshop team, made up of experienced and skilled technicians, and coordinate the 3D Workshop resources. This will include managing the technical spaces and online information and booking systems, ensuring the workshops are safe and accessible, managing the local budgets, helping develop the services offered and deliver technical support to students.

The 3D Workshops cover a broad range of traditional and digital making for the College, including a Wood Workshop, Plastics Workshop, Laser Workshop, 3D Printing, 3D Scanning and CNC machining.

The postholder will work with technical and academic teams to provide exceptional technical facilities, technical teaching and continuously strive to improve the student experience within the 3D Workshops and broader technical services.

LCC is currently embarking on an exciting and ambitious project, to build a new building at Elephant & Castle. The postholder will have the opportunity to feed into this project and help design and deliver brand-new, purpose-built facilities that will help support and help shape the future education in communications.
