The opportunity

We are looking for a practitioner with a specialism in web design with a strong background in film making and visual arts.  The role is not just to teach our 3rd years students about designing and building websites, but successful applicants must have an understanding of the multi platforms out there and advise students which is the most appropriate way to promote their work depending on their specialism.  We are looking for someone with at least 10 years experience in web design, with a strong understanding of current developments in the web design industry.  We would like to see experience and understanding of webhosting, web design, graphics, email campaigns, online presence and networks, logos and branding, and crowd funding.

Your main responsibility will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of a unit or part of a unit. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students receive in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully.

About you

We would want any successful applicant to be involved in wider responsibilities of assessment and feedback of practical work alongside management of any web based elements of the course and also take a leading role in developing the course online presence with existing LCC marketing staff. 

Successful applicants do not have to a post graduate qualifications, but must have some experience with teaching at HE level.

Hours: Currently, this role has 50 hours attached to it, but we expect this role to expand.
