The opportunity

We need you to shape both traditional and creative 3D development technical approaches. This is a rare lecturing opportunity to contribute to the undergraduate Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear course through teaching, assessment, unit management, curriculum development and research.

This post is also a chance to really make your mark as you deliver seminars and practical workshops on three-dimensional development, pattern cutting, and the realisation of contemporary womenswear apparel.

If you have any queries about this role, you may contact the LCF Staffing Team at vacancies@fashion.arts.ac.uk

About you

Your degree in clothing or fashion design or similar, will be backed up by a proven experience of working in the industry. Being able to demonstrate traditional and creative approaches to 3D garment realisation and pattern cutting, you will also have a flair for clear and inspirational communication, if not experience of teaching.

Confident with Microsoft Office, email and the internet, you will ideally bring knowledge of web 2 technologies, Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) systems, Lectra and Adobe Creative Suite.

Above all, you will need the enthusiasm to take 3D fashion technologies and problem solving to high levels of execution and creativity.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, a final salary pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity. Relocation assistance is available.
