The opportunity

UAL has a highly diverse student body with around half of all students joining us from outside the UK.

As Lead Administrator Language Development and International Student Experience Programmes, you will lead on academic and student administrative support for these important areas.

The Language Development Programme comprises English for Academic Purposes classes, tutorials and resources offered to any UAL degree programme students who are speakers of English as an additional language. The Programme runs across all of UAL’s six colleges and multiple sites. It is part of the International Student Experience Programme, a portfolio of provision and resources for UAL students and staff in support of the international student experience. Your responsibilities will include managing operations, planning and reviewing processes and systems in line with the standards set by the University. This may include input to selection of new systems.

You will take responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient use of administrative resources across the Language Development and International Student Experience Programmes, working closely with other members of the teams in order to deliver services to expected standards.

About you

You will have experience and a solid understanding of what is required for efficient administrative processes and systems, specifically within higher education and in student facing services record, monitoring and booking systems. You will pride yourself on running user-friendly, effective systems, and continually seeking out ways to improve service delivery.

You will be able to demonstrate effective communication, network building and collaborative working skills and be able to act as an effective representative for the Language Development and International Student Experience Programmes.

You will be educated to at least first degree level and have advanced Microsoft Office skills.
