The opportunity

This post is part of the AE Central Finance team which supports the various business units that make up Academic Enterprise (AE). The main aim of this role is to deliver an effective business support and financial management service to AE departments across the University, working closely with the Academic Enterprise Accountant & Academic Enterprise Financial Accountant. While based in AE Central Finance, the post holder will also be the main point of contact for EU Research Projects and Knowledge Transfer Partnership teams and deliver efficient finance administration and project monitoring, as well as provide timely and up to date guidance in regards of University’s processes and procedures. 

About you

We are looking for an experienced finance professional with a successful track record in delivering a high standard of financial management and administration in the higher education sector, preferably with a good level of understanding of third stream income activities.

You will have a proactive approach to work and strong commitment to professional development, as well as effective oral and written communication skills and experience of liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will have the ability to prepare relevant and timely financial information and deliver it in a clear and concise way to both finance and non-finance focused individuals.
