The opportunity

Interviews will take place on 6th March 2018

This exciting new course, starting in September 2018, takes a holistic approach to the creative industries. Through its multi-disciplinary nature, the course encourages the discovery of the potential to work across sectors to produce campaigns that educate and innovate for commercial, cultural and non-profit sectors. It is a four term, full-time programme where students develop high-level leadership, management, communication and analytical skills designed to meet the changing needs of the multiple careers open to Art Directors and Creative Directors in the twenty-first century. They develop cross-disciplinary research projects, through the intersections of art, design, science and technology, and learn to present these ideas to audiences in educational and engaging ways. This is a unique course that combines academic study with creative and professional practice in a project-led curriculum that draws on a range of interdisciplinary perspectives, whilst prompting reflection on the role of the creative studio as a powerful instrument for broadening the public imagination.

As Course Leader you will be responsible to the Programme Director for the academic leadership and management of the MA Design for Art Direction. This includes maintenance and enhancement of standards, responsibility for the design, development and delivery of the curriculum plus the day-to-day management of the course including all areas of learning, teaching and assessment of students as well as resources allocated.

Contact Dr Noemi Sadowska n.sadowska@lcc.arts.ac.uk for further information or an informal discussion relating to the post.
