The opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to work with the recently appointed Dean to develop, manage and lead the research agenda of the newly formed UAL Institute for Creative Computing. Together with the Dean, you will develop and deliver a credible interdisciplinary and integrated research programme for the Institute and based on your track record will lead one of the Institute’s three institute research themes.  

About you

You will have a significant track record of research delivery, including PhD supervision to completion, research publications, conference papers/ presentations and of REF submission or equivalent. It is desirable that you have experience of public engagement in an Higher Education context and experience of international partnerships and academic mobility. 

You will hold an undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in a directly related field and a PhD. You will also need a demonstrable understanding of the potential of the creative computing subject in the context of a specialist university. Having experience of creative practice at the intersection of art, design and computing will be an advantage in establishing your credibility to lead research within the new UAL Institute for Creative Computing.
