The opportunity
You will assist in the development and delivery of high quality and customer-focused library services which support the academic activities of the University and its constituent Colleges.
Key components of the role include being responsible for proactive research in the field of materials, products and new suppliers in order to maintain and develop the collection on a continuous basis and to inform the work of academic, technical and library staff and students.
You will liaise with course teams to disseminate information related to the collection and to respond to requests regarding resources. You will supervise and support students’ use of the material and products collection and dealing with enquiries, encouraging effective use of resources and services.
The role is full time and split the hours are split equally between Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion.
About you
With either a degree in Information Science, Materials Science or Design you will have demonstrable experience of working in a library or customer service environment. You will have knowledge of materials technology, materials research or trade information.
