The opportunity

You'll contribute to the development and delivery of high quality and customer-focused library services which support the academic activities of the University and its constituent Colleges.

Key components of the role include support for specified courses/programmes of study, and for promoting access to resources, collections and services through effective academic liaison and information dissemination.

You'll participate in course committees, programme boards and course monitoring, establishing constructive working relationships with staff responsible for curriculum development and the delivery of courses. You'll also assist in the provision of enquiry services and develop learning materials which encourage the use of resources and services. You'll line manage a team, including assistant academic support librarians and library assistants and be responsible for providing professional leadership in a functional area and effective guidance to assist in the delivery of high quality customer-focused library and open access IT services

About you

With a degree in Library and Information Management or equivalent at Graduate or Postgraduate level, you'll have demonstrable experience of working in library or customer service environment.
