Learning Zone Assistant

The opportunity

1 x full time Learning Zone Assistant role based at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.

The role: 

The postholder assists in the delivery of high quality customer-focused library and open access IT services, participating in front-line services and administrative duties.

This includes assisting with:

• student use of the services and resources within the Learning Zone
• support for IT, audio-visual and reprographic equipment and general-purpose software
• guidance on the use of electronic information resources and library materials
• directional and initial information enquiries
• the production of promotional and instructional guides which encourage students’ independent learning

The postholder works five days a week:

UAL Term-time (32 weeks of the year)

• 08:45-16:45 or 09:00-17:00 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• 12:15 – 20:15pm Saturday and Sunday
  

UAL Vacation (20 weeks of the year)

• 09:00-17:00 or 10.15-18:15 Monday to Friday
  

About you

You will have relevant experience in a library, open access IT or customer service environment and will be able to work independently. You will have basic numeracy skills or experience of financial procedures and have experience using Microsoft Office, internet and online resources.

You will have experience of answering standard questions/queries from customers. 

You will have experience of working as a member of a team, providing support, assistance and cover where needed.
