We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Communications Assistant to provide support to the Accommodation Services team.

Social media, community management, editing and writing will be an important part of the job.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail, preferably with community management or social media skills.

Ultimately the main goal of the role holder will be to help with communications to students in house, recruitment of prospect students into halls and grow the commercial business messaging across all channels and develop potential sales leads

University of the Arts London (UAL) is a vibrant world centre for innovation, drawing together six Colleges with international reputations in art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts. We have around 20,000 students and 5,000 staff based across London.  

UAL Accommodation Services is a dynamic team that sits in the Operations and External Affairs department of the university. We are made up of Advisors, a 24-hour Residence team, a Social Programme, a Marketing team and a Summer Stays team.

There are currently 3,400 rooms in 13 different halls of residences across London. Throughout the summer, some of these halls are rented out to members of the public and students on UAL short courses. Your contribution will directly influence the tone of voice, customer relations and online presence of the summer business, increasing brand awareness and sales.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Proven experience of digital communication or community management
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Sprout Social or other analytic tools
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or Photoshop
