Are you passionate about communications and about the creative arts? If so, join our Communications and External Affairs department as a Communications Assistant.  

We are made up of three dynamic teams - Communications, Digital, and Brand and Creative Services. We work closely with our students, Colleges, Institutes, key University services, Arts SU and external contacts.  

At the moment, our department works remotely from home, however usually your role would be based in our offices at High Holborn, with some travel between our six Colleges and Institutes, all of which are part of our globally renowned university. 

Your role will be a flexible post which supports our day-to-day communications as well as major initiatives. You will help us delivery joined-up, proactive and comprehensive communications across a variety of channels, telling compelling stories and promoting college and university-wide initiatives. You will help us deliver a programme of activities and events throughout the year.

You will be an organised, enthusiastic and a hard-working team player with knowledge in communications, journalism, digital media or content creation. You will be a first-class communicator who is able to create great relationships with people at all levels. You’ll be digitally savvy and have good writing skills as well as excellent IT skills, including design software. You will have strong administrative skills and will be able to flexibly support our different teams.
