London is a city that never stops and neither do our Halls of Residence! Due to an increase in resident needs outside of the traditional ‘9-5’, we are expanding our service to reflect a true 24/7 operation and we are expanding our team to help manage the service round the clock with Resident Assistants firmly at the heart of the team.

As Senior Resident Assistant you will deliver a range of customer focused and building services in and around the resident’s flats & rooms and you will be the first point of contact for many different enquires and support.

The University of the Arts London is a higher education institution specialising in art, design, fashion and media, which is comprised of Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Arts.

Accommodation Services currently accommodates over 3000 students in 12 Halls of Residence located throughout London on fixed term tenancies. The department is comprised of Central Accommodation, Residential Operations, Communications & Marketing, Finance, the Social Programme and Summer Business. You will have a SIA qualification and relevant qualification or equivalent experience. You will lead in a number of maintenance tasks or responsibilities complying with Health and Safety regulations primarily in Electric’s, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting and Decorating by carrying out first line diagnostic maintenance checks, conducting low level repairs & handyman jobs and assisting Residence Manager and/or Specialist Contractors when required.

You will have a familiarity with CCTV software management systems including reviewing footage and printing still images.

You will provide first class customer service to many different people and must therefore be able to maintain a friendly courteous attitude at all times. You must be able to work well under pressure and can work unsupervised for periods as well as being part of a wider team. You will have the ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing and/or using visual media.

You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
