The opportunity

Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-level PA support to the Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Executive Team and wider Senior Management Team. It is an important role in the facilitation of effective communication links between the three Colleges and the wider University community. Therefore, you will need excellent communication skills yourself.

Excellent prioritising skills are key to the role as well as the ability to work well under pressure. You will be a highly effective communicator, appropriately balancing tact and diplomacy with the need for quick turnarounds. You will be a problem solver with the confidence and perception of when to use your initiative. You will have a ‘can do attitude’. You will have excellent IT skills across MS Office, which you can use to produce correspondence, reports and presentations aimed at a senior level audience.

You will need to take the initiative and advice on priorities, identify levels of urgency, anticipate events and provide advanced warning of upcoming activities. You will turn your hand to a wide range of duties including, servicing senior committees, organising hybrid meetings, managing very busy diaries, preparing presentations, briefing notes and papers, and drafting correspondence on behalf of those you support. You will also be expected to provide project administration support to cross-college projects and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Executive Support PA team. You will therefore need to be a good team player that is keen to work with a diverse range of people in a busy and varied role.

Educated to A level or equivalent, you are a confident and experienced PA who is able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, juggling a multitude of tasks. Proactive with excellent organisational skills, you will also bring strong problem-solving abilities.
