The opportunity

The Cultural and Historical Studies Department at London College of Fashion is seeking to expand its pool of Hourly Paid Lecturers. We are looking for ambitious academic researchers/practitioners to deliver high quality teaching and assessment across our programmes at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, as well as further education.

In this role you will contribute to a high quality student experience, delivering cultural studies teaching in a fashion context.

About you

You will have a background in theory or practice within the field of fashion and/or cultural studies. You have the enthusiasm, expertise and communication skills to inspire and fully engage our diverse cohort of students. You will have experience of teaching in further and/or higher education (or comparable context), an ability to participate in curriculum development and assessment and have a sound understanding of current developments in the field of fashion and/or cultural studies  and a desire to challenge and de-centre Euro-centric understandings of culture and history.

You should be comfortable working with diverse cohorts of students and committed to a teaching approach that promotes theory and research across academic and industry contexts. You will engage students through a combination of innovative pedagogy, research and/or practice.
