The opportunity

As part of the new Digital and Technology, you will be a passionate, driven Senior Support Analyst who will work directly with Senior Service Desk Analysts, Strategy and Architecture teams, and key stakeholders across the university to understand existing technologies and future requirements. You will deliver a high-quality service to ensure customer satisfaction and that service levels are met, update and review our processes, delivering added value to the organisation.

You will be involved in and managing projects ranging from Desktop refresh, software requirements and troubleshooting IT related issues as they arise within the team and managing your daily workload. You resolve issues down to their root cause, write technical documentation\guides for various systems, and maintain the knowledge database at UAL.

You will assist and work with suppliers in successfully embedding new technologies and implementing change within the organisation whilst encouraging and promoting best practices.

We have four new Senior Support Analyst roles based at our main Colleges, LCF, CCW, LCC and CSM.

About you

With a professional IT qualification, technical degree or relevant experience and demonstrable experience of working in an IT support role, the successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrable experience of working as a Senior Support Analyst in medium to large support environments.
  • Experience in successfully influencing changes in current practices to support business benefits.
  • Experience of prioritising workload and activities, and ability to organise time effectively across projects and BAU workload
  • You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is adaptable, flexible and able to adjust to a new situations and environments.
  • You will be able to work effectively in cross-functional teams within Digital and Technology and Technical Stakeholders at College level.
  • You will have experience of effectively communicating complex and/or technical information to a diverse audience, leading to productive and trusted ‘partnership’ working relationships across the University.
  • Leadership skills managing a team day to day and project workloads alongside BAU.
  • The Senior Support Analyst will have sound knowledge of the latest developments and future strategy for their area, and an awareness of its application.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of enterprise tools (JAMF, SCCM, ZENworks, Active Directory, Azure, Intune), techniques, and methods within their specialist area.
