The opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Course Tutor on MA Applied Imagination based in the Culture and Enterprise Programme at Central Saint Martins. MA Applied Imagination develops students to become problem-finders and change-makers by applying their imagination, testing questions and existing assumptions in the creative disciplines. 

As the Course Tutor, you will play a key role in the programme, undertaking teaching, assessment, unit management and curriculum development. You will input into programme management and the ongoing development of future strategy. You will work closely with colleagues from the course Programme, Academic Support, Student Services and the college community. As Course tutor, you will also take responsibility as year tutor for full-time and part-time student groups as required. To stay abreast of research and other developments in MA Applied Imagination

You will also support the Course Leader in managing a team of Associate Lecturers, alumni and guest speakers. The Course Tutor will contribute to developing the curriculum, academic mission, vision and enhancement, as well as the positioning and shaping of the course and the subject.

The successful candidate will also oversee the course through the expansion of the curriculum at a time of social, technological and ecological change.

About you

An experienced teacher at PG level, you will also have experience of assessment, admissions, management and organisations of an interdisciplinary postgraduate course. Academic leadership with experience of maintaining and enhancing standards is desirable. Experienced in delivering teaching in Blended Learning, you will be effective in communicating to diverse audiences in inclusive an accessible way. Supporting the Course Leader in the day-to-day management of the course including its delivery and development, with particular responsibility for undertaking management and organisation of unit assessments.
