The opportunity

Working closely with the Head of Technical Resources and Technical Operational Managers, the technical resources Team Administrator will be providing administrative and reporting support for the team. This shall include the full servicing of formal committees and meetings, and to contribute to the implementation of enhancement initiatives within the Technical and Specialist Teaching Resources department. As well as process design and management for information resources.

Moreover, they will manage the Technical Administration consumable budget and understand the budget cycles. Thus, the Team Administrator shall provide comprehensive project and administrative support, effective reporting and monitoring strategies for agreed activities to ensure that the service user experience meets the University’s defined professional and quality standards.

About you

While the technical resources team encompasses a great skillset, the team is looking for the support of an administrator’s input to compile and organise workflow across the team. You will help the team plan, prioritise and organise work to achieve objectives on time thus you will need to take initiative and creativity to resolve day-to-day-challenges.

You will be a methodical problem-solver with excellent communication skills, as you will be expected to Work collaboratively within teams and different professional groups. You will be thorough and have a keen eye for detail.

These skills and qualities will probably have been gained within a similar administrative setting within a University or College of Higher Education, or in a similar environment. Desired Experience of working within a diverse team and of using MS Office; Word, Excel, Visio; Intranet/Internet and administrative systems, such as Oracle.
