The opportunity

UAL is preparing to launch its first comprehensive fundraising campaign, with an aim to raise more money than ever before, and to build a culture of philanthropy across the University.

As Development Officer, you will be a key member of the Development team, with specific responsibility for gift administration and donor stewardship for the Major Gifts and Trusts and Foundations teams. You will work with colleagues across the Development department to support the fundraising effort.

You will also liaise with students, academic colleagues, and colleagues in central departments to maintain systems for the effective management of philanthropic income and to deliver high-quality reports.

About you

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a development team in education, the arts or charitable sector. You will have an aptitude for working with donor management databases, such as Raiser’s Edge, with large amounts of data quickly and accurately.

You will be capable of developing strong relationships with donors, key external stakeholders and colleagues from across the University and will be a good communicator, able to write clear, concise and compelling proposals.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.

If you have any queries, you may contact Jaspreet Kaur via email Socialpurposestaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk or telephone: 020 7514 9627.
