The opportunity

As a Support Technician LENS: Photography you will provide technical support, expertise and guidance to groups and individuals for taught programs. You be responsible for:

  • The day-to-day activities of resources linked to setting up and supporting studio shoots;
  • Supporting still life, copy stand and 3D capture studios/tables;
  • Providing a point of reference for students working in the traditional and digital darkrooms;
  • Ensuring staff and students work in an environment that is both productive and safe.

You will not only bring key skills with you but will have the opportunity to develop new skills and experience helping and learning from your colleagues in an evolving area.

About you

We’re looking for a candidate with relevant experience, gained through working professionally in the discipline or through higher education study. You must be able to demonstrate and pass on technical skills to a wide range of students, and have an interest in contemporary image culture. You should be a flexible and creative thinker with an awareness and appreciation of the need for high levels of customer care, considering studio practice and learning.
