The opportunity

Working across Finance, this post will provide project support to the Finance Business Systems Team supporting Finance initiatives aimed at enhancing and supporting the Finance IT provision within the University. This will include providing project support to existing and future projects.

The successful candidate will manage the Finance training courses provided across the University, which includes the responsibility of arranging training sessions for staff and monitoring attendance. You will also support Finance in developing and maintaining the Finance intranet website keeping it relevant and up to date. Provide support for the Associate Directors of Finance and build effective business relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

About you

To succeed in this role you will pride yourself on delivering high quality and supportive customer service to multiple stakeholders across different professional levels. You will be able to manage multiple strands of work at any one time and be able to prioritise these frequently depending on customer and business need.

You will be comfortable in delivering administrative support across different areas such as; information systems, project support, correspondence, data management and logistical administration.

You will be a highly organised individual with a high level of attention to detail, experience of diary management, arranging meetings for large numbers of people and communicating to large numbers in a clear and well-articulated format. Be familiar with Financial and project management terminology and have experience of accurate minute taking and distributing them in a timely manner that is clear to all.

The role is very much customer facing, so relationships building skills are crucial as well as an understanding of how a fast paced office environment operates.

You will have a competent level of IT skills to enable best use of available information and communication for the post. This includes Microsoft applications, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook.
