The opportunity

If you are a professional and experienced EA, this busy and varied role presents an exciting opportunity to provide effective and professional administrative support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor/Head of Camberwell, Chelsea, and Wimbledon Colleges.

The HoC/PVC is responsible for both the leadership, direction, and day-to-day operations of the three colleges and for delivering on a large cross-university thematic portfolio. As the EA, you will be expected to support in balancing those responsibilities and manage the range of internal and external stakeholders that it generates.

You will ensure effective day-to-day diary management, including prioritising, requests, negotiating conflicting demands and scheduling meetings, as well as planning the Head of College’s local, national, and international travel. You will need to take the initiative and advise on priorities, identify levels of urgency, and anticipate events.

Attention to detail will also be key as you will be required to provide project support and assist with preparing and collating information, researching, producing, formatting and proof-reading reports, abstracts, presentations, and public-facing documents.

About you

We are looking for a confident and experienced Executive Assistant, skilled at organising the complex diary of an in-demand individual. You will be highly capable of managing expectations, communicating sensitive messages with diplomacy and tact, and dealing with confidential enquiries.

The role will require you to manage key strategic relationships on behalf of the HoC/PVC, so you will be a confident communicator; somebody who can build and maintain positive relationships, always acting as an ambassador for the HoC/PVC office.

You will be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, juggling a multitude of tasks which will utilise your skills and experience in several areas including servicing multiple committees, minute-taking, project administration as well as financial and HR administration.

Experience of using online tools for diary management is essential and you should be proficient in the use of Office365 including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel.
