The opportunity

Camberwell College of Arts is seeking to appoint a multi-skilled Specialist Technician to support teaching, research and commercial activities in Illustration.

As a member of the Illustration technical team, you will contribute critical input to student concept and expressive/ creative intention, providing professional technical expertise, guidance and knowledge relating to creative digital software, mainly Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. You will also support students with digital print file preparation for posters, booklet and book prints, risograph files and transparency prints for various print processes.

You will provide support for student learning through informal and formal training and instruction in view of developing proficiency in relevant platforms, tools, and give feedback and contribute to formative assessments.

About you

The successful candidate will be qualified to BA level in a relevant art and design subject and/or possess considerable relevant experience in a technical role, delivering expertise to similar academic programmes.

You will have advanced practical knowledge and hands-on experience in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud, 2D Animation and Stop Motion Animation and experience of teaching and/or demonstrating techniques related to creative digital arts and software education.
