The opportunity

Camberwell College of Arts is seeking to appoint a multi-skilled Specialist Technician to support teaching and research activities in Printmaking and Painting.

As a Specialist Technician, you will contribute critical input to student concept and expressive/ creative intention, providing professional technical expertise, guidance and knowledge on painting methods and materials, printmaking processes and techniques and associated new technologies.

You will provide support for student learning through informal and formal training and instruction in view of developing proficiency in relevant platforms, tools, and methods and give feedback and contribute to formative assessments.

About you

The successful candidate will be qualified to BA level in a relevant art and design subject and/or possess considerable relevant experience in a technical role, delivering expertise to similar academic programmes.

You will have an in-depth knowledge and experience of working with a wide range of painting and printmaking techniques and be able to explain complex technical concepts to a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way.
