The opportunity

In September 2023, LCF will be moving to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as part of a new development for London known as East Bank prioritising culture, education and innovation. We’ll be creating a campus alongside new sites for other world-leading organisations including Sadler’s Wells, V&A, BBC and UCL.

You will be working as part of the UAL Short Course Planning team to support the transition of LCF Short Courses from 6 separate sites to one main campus in Stratford. Working with the Stratford Delivery Team, LCF teams such as Timetabling and Technical as well as colleagues across UAL, you will ensure the move and integration into Stratford is successful as well supporting the LCF Short Course Tutors with inductions, health and safety risk assessments and preparation for them delivering courses in Stratford from January 2024.

About you

  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience.
  • Confident IT skills user, with High level of competency in; MS Office; (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet), Learner Management Systems / databases, Content Management Systems (desirable).
  • Strong organisational and administrative experience, working in a fast paced environment, ideally in further or higher education.
  • Experience or understanding of art and design FE and HE education system.
  • Experience working across multiple teams, coordinating activities and liaising with staff across the organisation.
  • Experience of dealing with difficult situations or confidential matters according to policy and procedures, referring to others as required.
  • Ability to meet benchmarked standards by reviewing feedback and views from customers and keeping up to date with market trends and service developments.
  • Financial responsibilities and experience in managing budgets.
  • Communicates effectively orally, in writing and/or using visual media, adapting the message for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to respond to face-to-face, email and telephone enquiries.
  • Ability to work with people across many levels, from senior colleagues, academics, technicians and the general public.
  • Experience of coordinating others in a busy administration, event and project-led organisation.
  • Able to take the lead on projects and work independently
