Join a multi-disciplinary team of Specialist Technicians supporting students develop their skills in Python and Machine Learning.

The Creative Technology Lab is a purpose-built space at the London College of Communication (LCC) where students can access staff expertise and the latest specialist equipment. Our team specialises in supporting emerging technologies, including physical computing, creative coding, machine learning, VR and AR.

Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you will help students research, iterate, and realise their projects from conception to installation/publication. You will develop and deliver structured workshops for Python and Machine Learning, as well as providing project-led one-to-one support to students either just starting their journey in developing interactive projects or looking for support with advanced concepts and workflows.

About you

You will have a relevant qualification and/or one or more years of experience in a relevant industry, and evidence of strong knowledge of both Machine Learning using Python and web development and networked applications in your portfolio. You will have experience in either teaching, tutoring, mentoring or demonstration/presentation.

Knowledge of related areas such as creative coding languages/frameworks, data visualisation, and physical computing is desirable but not essential.

You will be capable of working with technicians and academics in the college to develop and deliver innovative, inclusive teaching to support students of all skill levels and abilities. You will be comfortable researching and experimenting with new technologies, and willing to develop competencies in areas outside of your core expertise with appropriate support. You will be a creative and motivated individual who is able to work effectively as part of a team.
