The opportunity

You will undertake attainment and continuation development work as directed by the College to improve student experience and continuation with a focus on progression monitoring, formative assessment, and curriculum development as key sites of intervention to reduce and eliminate differentials between student groups.

In your role you will work with the Associate Dean, Progression, Attainment & Support to provide cross college leadership and maximise student engagement and retention by delivering initiatives, projects and activities that relate to: 

  • Student Progression, retention, and continuation
  • Attainment curriculum design and formative assessment
  • Integration of decolonising curriculum, pedagogy, and support  

You will work at college level, on the delivery of initiatives that will improve continuation and enhance attainment by providing staff development/continual professional development activities, pedagogic research and facilitating knowledge transfer across the College and UAL. 

About you

We are looking for an individual who is committed to student progression and attainment and keen to implement the UAL anti-racist action plan. You will need to have a flexible approach and have experience and knowledge around successful attainment and retention interventions. You should be committed to racial and social justice in a Higher Education context. You should work well in a team and at times work independently working towards clear objectives.
