The opportunity
Are you passionate about performance technologies and eager to make a significant impact in the field? We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our core academic team as a Reader in Performance (Knowledge Exchange) at Wimbledon College of Arts. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to knowledge exchange, research, and teaching within your area of expertise, while actively participating in public forums and international debates.
As a Reader in Performance, you'll lead and support teaching-led knowledge exchange activities, such as placements and student projects, and engage in research-led knowledge exchange outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to the development of the knowledge exchange profile at Wimbledon College of Arts, as well as instigate and lead knowledge exchange projects within the School of Performance.
About you
To excel in this role, you should possess a relevant qualification, such as a PhD in a performance or technologies-related area, or equivalent demonstrated through professional practice. Teaching experience within higher education and a strong understanding of immersive and interactive performance technologies are essential. Additionally, your ability to attract external resources, lead teams, and communicate technical ideas to diverse audiences will be crucial.

Friday 30 June 2023, 3-5pm - in-person at Wimbledon College of Arts
Monday 3 July 2023, 6-7pm - online via Teams
Both sessions will consist of a presentation of the background and vision of the College and our courses. This will be followed by a Q&A session with current members of staff who can provide insight into working at the University. The in person open day will additionally include a tour of the College to see the studios and workshops.
