The opportunity
As a Senior UX Designer, you will develop the user experience practice, ensuring that all digital products and services are designed with the user at the core. This role will be instrumental in establishing and embedding UX, design, research, and accessibility standards across the team.
The role includes leading UX design services, enhancing existing products, and line managing and coaching other UX designers within the team. This role will also be responsible for developing data-driven processes, ensuring UX effectiveness and alignment with agile methodologies, enabling the team to deliver value swiftly. The role will also be an active member of our design community in Digital and Technology, providing coaching and mentoring support to other members.
In this recruitment round, we are seeking two Senior UX Designers to work across our Student Experience service teams as we focus on creating and enhancing a seamless and reliable digital experience.
These are new roles for the university, and you will champion the evolution and implementation of easy-to-use principles, standards, and methodologies for UX design, ensuring they are adopted and developed over time. About you
Experience
- Demonstrable knowledge, experience, and passion for user-centred design, with expertise in a range of UX tools and techniques.
- Extensive experience applying design thinking and UX methodologies across the full product lifecycle.
- Exceptional storytelling, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate research insights, user feedback, and data into actionable design solutions.
- Ability to mentor and coach designers and uphold high-quality design standards within teams.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary agile teams to deliver iterative, user-centered solutions at pace.
